Nordic Physio is an independent physiotherapy clinic in Gladstone Central. We don’t have a clinic in Calliope, but we treat Calliope patients at our Gladstone clinic and with home visits in Calliope and nearby Beecher.
Physiotherapy for Calliope residents
If you drive into Gladstone for work, an early appointment is often the easiest option: we open at 7am, Monday to Friday. The clinic is in Palms Shopping Fair on Goondoon Street with free parking and step-free access, so there is no hunting for a park before your session.
Home visits in Calliope
For patients who can’t easily make the trip — after an operation, with a mobility limitation, or for older people who would rather stay home — Eric can treat you at home in Calliope. Home visits carry an additional cost; please call to discuss.
Hydrotherapy
Some conditions respond well to exercise in warm water. Hydrotherapy sessions are held at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre; ask at your first appointment whether it suits your treatment plan.
What we treat
Back and neck pain, sciatica, shoulder and knee problems, plantar fasciitis and heel pain, sports and work injuries, and rehabilitation after surgery. Treatment uses manual therapy, exercise, dry needling, shockwave therapy and ultrasound where they suit the problem. Shockwave and dry needling are included in the consultation at no extra charge.
Funding and fees
- Private: initial consultation $130, follow-up $120. HICAPS on site, so health fund rebates are claimed on the spot. No referral needed.
- Medicare Chronic Condition Management (CDM): bulk billed with a GP referral, no out-of-pocket cost.
- DVA: billed directly to DVA with a GP referral.
- WorkCover Queensland: bring your work capacity certificate.
- NDIS: plan-managed and self-managed participants. We are not an NDIS-registered provider, so we are unable to see agency-managed participants.
- Motor vehicle (CTP) claims are accepted.
Other areas we visit
We also provide home visits in Tannum Sands, Boyne Island and Kirkwood, and see patients from right across the Gladstone region.
