Eric Wahlander
Director Physiotherapist
Here’s mine: Eric is a Swedish-trained physiotherapist with over 13 years of clinical experience, combining international education with a practical, patient-centred approach. He holds degrees from Hawaii Pacific University and additional postgraduate training, and has worked across a wide range of settings treating everything from elite athletes to everyday movers.
Eric has a special interest in neuropsychiatric physiotherapy, musculoskeletal injuries and imbalances, post-operative rehabilitation, and sport-specific return-to-performance programs. His treatment philosophy is shaped not only by his clinical experience, but also by his personal journey as a former professional basketball player who has undergone multiple surgeries, including spinal fusions and procedures to the knee, foot, shoulder and much more. These experiences give him a deeper level of empathy and understanding for what patients go through during recovery.
His approach is grounded in the biopsychosocial model, recognising that every patient is an individual with unique goals, challenges and circumstances. Whether working with Olympic-level athletes, weekend warriors, newborns or centenarians, Eric focuses on practical, evidence-based strategies that restore function, build resilience and support long-term health.
Outside the clinic, Eric enjoys staying active at the gym, spending time outdoors with his two young sons, dirt bike riding, fishing, camping and playing sports. He is also a keen beginner in aquascaping and enjoys getting out for rides on his motorcycle.
