If getting to the clinic isn’t practical, Nordic Physio can come to you. We visit patients at home across the Gladstone region.

Who home visits are for

  • After surgery, before you are able to drive
  • Where mobility, balance or falls risk makes travel difficult
  • NDIS participants whose goals are about moving safely at home
  • DVA clients
  • Older people who want to stay active and independent at home

What a home visit involves

A home visit is a full physiotherapy appointment: assessment, treatment and a plan, in your own space. That also lets us look at the things that matter at home, such as getting in and out of a chair or bed, steps, the bathroom, and walking outdoors. We can suggest changes or equipment where they would help.

Areas we cover

We visit patients across the Gladstone region, including Tannum Sands, Boyne Island, Calliope and Kirkwood. If you are not sure whether we cover your area, call us and ask.

Funding and costs

Home visits are available privately and under NDIS, DVA, Medicare CDM, CTP and NIISQ. Additional costs apply for home visits. Please call (07) 4962 1255 to enquire about fees and availability.

Booking a home visit

Home visits are booked by phone rather than online so we can plan travel and check what you need. Call (07) 4962 1255, Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm.

Common questions

Do I need a referral for a home visit?

Not for private physio. DVA and CDM visits need a GP referral.

Is a home visit as thorough as a clinic appointment?

Yes. It is a full appointment, and seeing how you manage at home often adds useful information.

Can a family member or carer be there?

Yes, and it often helps.
